Coventry Conference Centre
The Goal
To fully design, supply, and install the bistro and conference area, including all furniture, alongside adaptations to the existing kitchen and the implementation of a new feature cold room.
The Brief
We received a clear brief from the client to enhance the overall look and feel of the bistro, making it more enticing for internal staff and external customers. The conference area was adapted to provide flexible food service options as well as varied seating arrangements. Working with both the client and caterer, we needed to conducted the project to work in phases, meaning the site never went without available service.

The Outcome
Working in collaboration with both the client and caterer, we delivered an outcome that was functional, fresh, and friendly. The completed project comprised four areas: the bistro, bistro lounge, conference room, and kitchen. As requested, we provided full design, supply, and installation of counters, equipment, furniture, décor, and varied flooring, including acoustic solutions where required.
The bistro was designed with versatility in mind, allowing quick transitions from day to evening use. Double-sided fridges facilitated speedy restocking, while a mix of soft seating, high-level seating, and dining areas create an inviting environment for sitting, working, and relaxing.
In the conference space, we introduced a long, streamlined credenza-style buffet counter to provide full-service flexibility, complemented by a separate hydration counter to reduce staff labour. The furniture combined soft seating and general dining to accommodate bistro overflow, alongside moveable conference-style seating for event hire. The modern, streamlined look and feel has increased footfall in both the bistro and conference areas from staff and the public alike, achieving exactly what the client desired.
A standout design area was the feature cold room, strategically located between the kitchen and bistro lounge. Inspired by one of our previous projects, HAVAS, the LED-lit frame adds a playful and dynamic element to the space while serving as a visually engaging and practical feature.
