The Goal
To design and install a newly constructed catering facility in collaboration with Scott Brownrigg Architects. Including hot food counters, a feature coffee bar, grab and go points, complete back of house, and a diverse mix of furniture to support all day use.
The Brief
Film studio operations can fluctuate dramatically from one day to the next, with customer volumes rising and falling at short notice. The client wanted us to design a flexible food-service environment that could scale up efficiently during peak periods, yet seamlessly scale down during quieter times to optimise staffing, workflow and overall operational performance.

The Outcome
In response to the client’s key objective of achieving a highly adaptable food-service environment, we maximised every part of both the front and back of house to deliver a functional and contemporary restaurant space. The facility now features a full production kitchen complete with cook suite, prep zones, dishwash, and storage. A dedicated pizza counter and theatre-style food pod supports a dynamic and ever-changing menu, complemented by central islands for soups and grab-and-go items, as well as a feature coffee and hot-snack bar.
Operational flexibility is further strengthened through overhead stretch screens, retractable heat lamps, and interchangeable theatre-cooking modules—allowing the space to scale up or down seamlessly in line with fluctuating customer volumes. A mixed furniture strategy incorporates lounge seating, collaboration tables, and zoned general dining, creating areas suited to socialising, dining, individual work, and informal meetings throughout the day.
Drawing inspiration from the building’s industrial warehouse character, we layered raw materials and textures with vibrant accents of the signature brand yellow. The result is a bold, modern, and welcoming environment that balances operational efficiency with an engaging guest experience.
